Disney Jr. debuts “Avengers: Mightiest Friends” in 2027, bringing kid-sized Avengers and crossover adventures with Spider-Man.
The Avengers are gearing up for preschool adventures.
Marvel and Disney Jr. have officially announced Marvel’s Avengers: Mightiest Friends, the first-ever Avengers series created specifically for preschool audiences. The show is set to premiere in 2027 on Disney Jr., followed by Disney+.
The series is a direct evolution of Marvel’s Iron Man and his Awesome Friends, premiering August 11 on Disney Jr. (and August 12 on Disney+). In Mightiest Friends, audiences will meet kid versions of iconic heroes including Iron Man (Tony Stark), Captain America (Steve Rogers), Hulk (Bruce Banner), Black Panther (T’Challa), Black Widow (Natasha Romanoff), and Thor—all learning to be their best selves while taking on classic Marvel supervillains.
The announcement was made during the “Disney Jr. Let’s Play!” fan event at Disney California Adventure Park in Anaheim, California. Alongside the series, two 22-minute specials are also on the way, uniting the Avengers with Spider-Man from the hit Marvel’s Spidey and His Amazing Friends.
The first special arrives October 16, 2025, featuring the heroes teaming up to stop Ultron and Green Goblin from seizing control of the city’s devices. The second, a Halloween-themed adventure, is set to air in fall 2026.
Both the specials and Marvel’s Avengers: Mightiest Friends are produced by Disney Jr. and Marvel Studios, in association with Atomic Cartoons.
